About Chef Kanai
Chef Kanai was born and raised in Kyoto, Japan. At a young age, he learned general Japanese cuisine and sushi at an honorable “Kappo Ryokan”, a Japanese hotel specializing in authentic Japanese dishes. He moved to Los Angeles and worked as a head sushi chef at several restaurants for over 10 years. He has traveled extensively in the U.S. to establish his skills and knowledge over the years. Today, he is a master sushi chef.
Now he is here to deliver the delicacy of genuine sushi and Wa Shoku - authentic Japanese food - to you. He will reintroduce authentic sushi to the Wichita area diners. He has fresh fish delivered from L.A. and other cities, including Tokyo, Japan to get the best quality. He is dedicated to getting the freshest ingredients available to create his unique Wa Shoku dishes.
From the KANAI menu based on Kappo (Japanese cooking), you will encounter fresh seafood and many varieties of Japanese dishes, as well as superb sushi with his creative recipes. His uncompromising dedication to provide the most caring service to his guests is apparent with each visit.
